The PD140 series hand held metal detector is currently in use all over the world. There are over 20,000 in daily operation where security requirements demand a hand held metal detector with optimum performance.

The unit has a large area of detection, which improves personnel processing. This hand held metal detector features standard sensitivity and it is available with a holster, earpiece and an output for an audible alarm. (All these items are not included in handwand purchase)

The PD140 series has three settings for sensitivity that allows the user to define the type of detection required (low, medium and high). This feature can be removed so that only one sensitivity level is available.

Battery life using a standard 9V is in excess of 120 hours operating time per battery. It has an automatic shut off feature in case the detector is left on, and laid down for a period over 2 minutes, thus increasing the battery life.

The PD140 is very durable, as there are no wires to break off inside the detector. The PD140 is made on a four layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and all coils are built into the PCB thus assuring total reliability and quality.
